What are your competitors doing that you are not using

JANICE HURLBURT

Most likely, you know already.
Videos!

That’s right. Chances are your competitors are doing Facebook Lives, Instagram Reels, YouTube or TikTok videos. Experts say that videos are the way to get better exposure to your prospects.

Anne Klausner has raised the bar by doing more videos on how to move like a kid again! Watch her on Instagram.

Move like you did as a kid

Anne uses her phone and hires a video editor for the final touch-up. Watching Anne and Anastasia’s entertaining and straightforward videos inspired me! Creating  FUN and unique videos has been on my radar for some time. I’m embarrassed to say last year I only did 5 videos.

This week, I’d like to challenge you to do a Facebook Live video, reels on Instagram, or post a video on YouTube.

NOTE: If you are uncomfortable with LIVE videos, try using images to create videos.
Try Visme at
https://www.visme.co  I love visme.co because they have ready-made templates. You can easily add pictures, music, and text and have a really nice video!

Don’t let anything hold you back from utilizing videos to get your message out there. Take the opportunity to make yourself visible and heard on the video. I’m in the same boat. I understand the apprehension.

Using video has a higher % rate of being seen and heard because that’s what people want.

If you have not done a video, here are a few easy steps for getting started.

1). Commit! Commit to going Live on your Facebook business page. (Don’t have one? Use your personal page instead.) Don’t overthink this. Have fun with it.

2). Introduce yourself AFTER you start talking about the topic and then lead into the topic you want to cover in your live video. Below is an example.

“Good Afternoon, Friends!

Let’s talk about social media marketing. Social media marketing does not put immediate revenue in your pocket.

I know, what you’re thinking! You’re spending valuable time on social media and you’re expecting sales, but let’s look at it from a different angle. ROI (return on the investment) doesn’t necessarily mean revenue.

Today, we are going to talk about this.

(Introduction after you share the topic) Hi. I’m Janice. I’m an online visibility strategist for entrepreneurs and coaches looking to share their expertise and grow their business online.”

3). Engage. There are so many ways to engage! Ask a question. Ask for feedback. Tell a story. Be yourself! Most importantly, share something that helps people solve a pressing problem.

For example, I participated in a 21-day Facebook Live challenge. Every day I shared a story, business-related tips, funny moments in my life, and even a dance video!

Here are two basic scripts from the Facebook Live video I posted. Feel free to steal:

? I have clients that have been with me for years and we have weathered many changes together. Consider these principles when weathering stormy seas in your business. (During the video, I talked about the following principles)

    1. Keep your eye on the horizon (Managing your schedule)
    2. Stay flexible (your clients will appreciate you)
    3. Keep the boat afloat (Meeting your deadlines)
    4. Steer clear of whirlpools. (negative clients)

? Would you agree missing an appointment is super embarrassing?
I am about to share 3 missed appointment stories and you tell me which one actually happened. As people posted in the comments which of the 3 stories was true, I responded with a No, until someone got it right! It was fun!

4). Give a clear call to action at the end of each video. What do you want the viewer to do?Anastasia Forrest Would you have a non-alcoholic drink?

These two platforms will help you create fantastic videos with short clips, text and images. https://artlist.io/ and https://fliki.ai/

Check out Anastasia Forrest’s LinkedIn video post using the artlist.io platform.

If you are doing videos, reels, or have a YouTube channel, BRAVO!
